The Palestinians, along with any number of Arab nations in the Mid East have but a single goal, to drive the Israelis into the sea. The first demand, on the part of Israel, for any withdrawal, any concession, any negotiation should the public acknowledgement on the part of the Palestinians that Israel is a valid state and has the right to exist. Period. Any resistance to this should be met by a stiffening of Israel's position. Concessions, until public recognition of these two principals are met, is futile and dangerous.
