East of Eden

The American Spectator

The Far East is getting little in the way of global attention. Yet, events continue to move in the direction of confrontation in many arenas. China is very hungry and not shy about throwing its weight around. It is very questionable whether the forces of democracy and capitalism can act quickly enough to blunt the old ways of physical force. It is a region that demands attention.
